“Unlock your potential through our diverse range of classes”
We Cross-Culture Hub continues to support community members by delivering Digital Skills Sessions led by our dedicated volunteers. These sessions are designed to build confidence in using electronic devices and everyday software, enabling participants to carry out regular online tasks independently, such as booking appointments, accessing services, completing online forms, and communicating digitally. As more essential services move online, these skills are increasingly important for everyday life as well as for entering the workforce.
By improving digital literacy, we help our members navigate the internet with confidence, reduce digital exclusion, and remain connected in an increasingly digitalised society.
Alongside our digital inclusion work, we have recently developed a meaningful partnership with students from the University of Southampton, bringing people together through music and cultural exchange. This collaboration focused on building community connections and strong social bonds by sharing songs from different cultural traditions.
As part of this partnership, participants exchanged musical practices and learned a Punjabi folk song alongside an indigenous song from New Zealand. These songs were later performed at the Harmonies of Home Festival, celebrating cultural diversity and the power of creativity to unite communities.
We were delighted to be featured in the University of Southampton’s latest story, “Reducing Digital Exclusion Through Music”, which highlights the impact of this collaborative work and the innovative ways digital skills and creative expression can support inclusion.
Through our ongoing work at Cross-Culture Hub, we are proud to help individuals build digital confidence while creating meaningful connections through creativity and shared cultural experiences.
