Harmonies of Home

The event then started with the National opera performing a range of classical Egyptian and Iranian which brought a sense of community into the hall. The audience were even able to get involved, learning an old celtic folk song to warm up the event. This was followed by opera excerpts from Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro.

After weeks of hard work dedication, Our group were finally able to showcase what they had been practicing. They performed a folk Punjabi Song as well as a song originating from the indigenous Maori people of New Zealand. The event was filled with singing and dancing with lots and lots of smiles all around.
